March Mission Immersion

This year CBF/GA is excited to announce a new and different take on March Mission Madness which focuses more on immersion than active service in the community. Our last weekend event on Friday-Sunday, March 23-25, will be held at the Calvin Center’s Global Village, where students will live the life of a third world person for twenty-four hours. Living in an African village, Haiti, a refugee camp, or an urban slum, youth will have the opportunity to learn what it would be like to live the life of one of those we are called to help and serve. Their Saturday will consist of making bricks, building slum houses, planting crops, and fetching water, all while earning minimal wages to pay for their dinner that evening.   Saturday night will be spent “camping out” in the very villages they are helping to create!

This opportunity will be limited to a small group (one hundred participants or less) and will be open for churches who have already participated in March Mission Madness with us in previous years.  March Mission Immersion will introduce students to new perspectives of missions as they immerse themselves in a different world for a weekend.
