Worship Leaders

Chris George, Pastor of Smoke Rise Baptist Church, Stone Mountain

“Many of us were told to read the Bible, but we were never taught ‘how’ to read the Bible. On the Senior Retreat, let’s fall in love with the scriptures again as we set aside time to Rediscover the Word Together.”

Chris George is a graduate of Samford University and Harvard Divinity School and received the Doctor of Ministry from Methodist Theological School of Ohio. Chris loves hearing and telling the stories of God at work in the past and present and leading people into God’s good future. He has served as pastor at Smoke Rise since April 2013.

Michael Jennings, Minister of Music, First Baptist, Saint Simons Island.
Michael Jennings studied music at Carson-Newman University and holds a Master of Church Music from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Originally from Knoxville, TN, Michael has been a full-time Minister of Music/Worship for over twenty years.
